Chicks Australorps 3 Weeks Old (Gender??)

I know it's probably too early to tell, but just thought I'd try. I have 2 gorgeous Australorps I hatched. My suspicion is number 1 is a pullet and number 2 (bit more feisty, slower to feather) is maybeee a roo! But I could be wrong.

Way too early. Especially for australorps. Because their combs and wattles get big and bright even in the hens and they tend to be on the heftier side they sometimes take a little longer to be definite.

It's definitely a tad early.
How old are they? They look around 3 weeks.

That's what I was thinking, no obvious signs! Oh yes sorry, 3 weeks yes. Cute little babies hehe.

I agree with all the sexing comments, but as someone who has never had australorps. Do they usually start out that light colored? Just curious.

I was thinking that too.
Australorp chicks do get white chests, this seems a bit excessive, but there are more colour variations than the black Australorps. Maybe the top one is a blue Australorp. It would make more sense to me.
Probably be easier when they feather out more.

The lady who sold me the eggs had pure breed Australorps blue, black and splash. So I may have a couple of splash or blue Australorps?

See how they feather out. They could be crosses, but I don't have any reason to think that yet.

Ooooooooooooooh, that makes way more sense. I've only seen black australorps before. It looks to me like you got blue or splash chicks. Very pretty!
