Normally chick delivery was 1st thing in morning. This time for whatever reason they came to post office on afternoon truck.

Wife set em up in brooder, lost 3 "bonus" chicks ( BPR males) they were sent (From Mt Healthy) in boxes of 51. 2 RIR straight run 1 BPR Bonus chicks. So even with the 3 we still ended up with the 150. One RIR probably not gonna make it long splayed leg won't even try to move.
Gladly we didn't lose any reds ( except probable splayed) so we'll have 101. And 50 freezer birds, plus any cull RIR roos.
I always hatch so I'll be keeping some roos.

Lots of late chicks and eggs right now. I have 4 packages in my send/receive watchlist. All 4 late! I sent some duck eggs that sat 20 mintutes from my house in a warehouse for a week before moving. Glad so many of your little chicks are surviving the delay!

Congrats on the new chicks! My hatching eggs were delivered to the wrong town--90 miles away! Some crazy delivery stuff going on. Good luck with the new flock!
