Hey Bama Chicken,

I just saw the pic of your buff splash which I have been wondering why we can have blue splashes but not buff? Can you explain how the Buff Splash is accomplished? Also my sister bought eggs last week from you, by any chance could any of those be from your Buff Splash???

Please Please Please

Sylvia, I am not sure if there are any in that group or not. could be. She went broody for a few days till I got that broke up. I dont know if she is even laying again now. She is so typey is why I am using her with the buff roo. I have hatched one last week that is awesome from her. When you are breeding buffs which is a difficult color to work with to get the dark colors out of feathering and keep the a even color thru out. Many breeders including HatTrick use a blue splash in the mix occaisonally to take the black feathering out of the tail. I have hatched several buff splash using this hen. One died from fowl pox last year and one was a cockeral which I didn't keep. As soon as I can get some up to breeder size I will see what I can do. I have had other people show me their buff splashes and offer them to me but I haven't been ready with anything else to work with yet. Project in progress.

Pic 6 and 8 have a buff splash chick right in the front. On the last pic it is standing by itself. Great feathering everywhere.
