Chicks coming in a week, any advice?

hi everybody! I am new to this thread thing and really pleased that I found a way to put a picture in my profile, but haven't yet figured out how to take pictures from the camera to put online... BUT I JUST HAD TO TELL SOMEONE...I DID IT! I ordered chicks for the first time ever! In a little less than one month, I pick up my six little ones from the local feed store. The brooder (breeder? what the heck was it called again??? is all made, out of an old couch, a roll top desk, a lazy susan, and various other odds and ends I found in my basement. I am sooo excited! joannimal in Maine....

What kind are you getting? I'm still deciding if it'll be too cold here to build the brooder in the pen outside of if I should make something to put in the basement...so many decisions lol

I'm picking up my 3week old Bantams today.... Nice weather in Houston.... do I need the heat light?

Finally got my chicks today! Love them!
