Hello. My post is about overfeeding chicks like overfeeding goldfish. Yesterday night I gave fish, blueberries, peanuts and pecans. I woke up one died. I am making this in case more die in the near future.

Stop feeding all of this before you kill more.2 weeks old. No grit. Will buy some soon.
Chickens don’t overeat and get impacted crop... the impacted crop causes the crop to bloat and swell... it is instinct to fill the crop, regardless of whether the food is going down or not. I would suggest separating that chicken and keeping it from food for 24 hours to give the food a chance to go down, and then see what you’re dealing with.I have a 5 week old chick that over ate, so it's possible. He ended up with a crop blockage, that had to be removed, after that the crop stopped working properly, & is passing food very slowly, & it doesn't empty fully.
I found plastic in the wood chips, so I think he found a piece, & it created a blockage in his crop.
I'm treating him for a slow crop, which is proving to be difficult.
View attachment 2398738He is pooping so the crop is passing food, which is good, just not like it should.
He woke up in the morning with a ravenous appetite.
