Is it normal for baby chicks to kick and dig in bedding? Also peck at it? I can’t tell if they are eating it too. It’s Aspen shavings. The corner in picture and where they are all standing is bare because they kicked away the bedding.

Yep, that's what chickens/chicks do best.
Scratching and pecking is a favorite pastime for Chickens. It's how they find bugs and worms. 20200416_192404_resized.jpg . Chicks eat some small pieces of shavings. My hens eat shavings, I assume for the fiber. I use pine shavings in my brooder and coops. GC

Ok thank you, just want to make sure it’s ok they eat some of it...they really like to destroy the one corner...it’s funny to watch

my chicks do this right next to their feeder and waterer and you can guess what happens after that
