Chicks drowned in toilet

I just woke up to a chick in the toilet. No rigor mortis yet and still one eye opened when I picked her out of the water. I tried to warm and dry, started compressions to get blood and oxygen moving (not even sure I was doing this properly or if it's right to try to keep the poor dying chick alive). I put it in my incubator after a few minutes of tiny compressions and got a small eye opening like she is looking at me and a leg moved. Do I continue to try to move the chickie and keep blood moving or leave in incubator? Is it too far gone or do I wait for rigor mortis? Help! I wish I didn't leave the toilet seat opened! I knew it was a hazard. The chicks would jump on my knee when I sat to 💩. Time to move the rest outside weather is getting better.

If it's showing signs of life then there's always a chance of survival. Keep it's warm and dry and hopefully it'll make it.🤞🤞🤞
Do the chicks literally sit on your knee and watch you poop? That's incredible!

Uh oh. Our little chick Tilly that we had a year ago when we were opening the box of chicks (after picking them up from the feed store) she hopped out of our hands and into the toilet. She was only a few days old, but somehow survived. Tilly also had quite the other experiences as well. She also fell into the trash can, got stuck outside the brooder, and almost was eaten by our dog. I felt a bit sorry for her. We got her 3 years ago, and she was the first to pass (during a hawk attack) she was always a bit slow, but was super sweet. Anyway, wishing your little chick luck!

Yeah it's pretty amazing how close I can get to my chicks. There were mornings where the toilet lid had lots of poop on the toilet. As if they were trying to potty train. I have 2 older labs from guide dogs for the blind and the chicks will try to cuddle up with them (under the leg in the crotch was a favorite spot) and hitch hike rides on their backs.
