Chicks dying

Not sure what is going. Getting ready to lose 5th chick. Won’t stand...tried to lead to water but won’t drink. Plenty of space, water and heat! She just gets trampled. I have her in a lil box for now

Could you share more information? Are these shipped or hatched by you? How old? What's your brooder temperature? Do you have anything in the water for a quick energy source?

Shipped several days ago. Electrolytes in their water. Temp is about 95

She takes water from dropper but looks like she gasps for air. Really don’t want to see another one die.

We're they in transit long? Sometimes they get behind or too chilled and cannot recover.

I would lower the temperature. 95 is a bit too warm. I personally like 85-90 for the first week.

Instead of giving water by a dropper, try using something like a spoon of bottle lid. while the chick is standing, lift that to the bottom of it's beak and see if will drink that way.

what type of bedding do you have them on? possibly splayed legs?
