Chicks first 'catch'

Our new chicks (almost 2 wks old) are currently in our garage in a brooder, with a heat lamp. This morning as I was getting ready, I could hear them all they way into my bedroom. Chirping very loudly! (I usually NEVER can hear them from this far away)

I ran out there thinking maybe an animal had gotten in somehow...or maybe the lamp had fallen?

NO....one of them caught a moth and the others were chasing it around the brooder; trying to make him share. LOL They literally were doing figure 8's around the box. I almost was late for work, since I stood there watching them for so long.

Too funny! I get a kick on how they grab it and run only to stop and look at what they actually have.

Me too!
I have been interested in raising chickens for a while but took the plunge after a good friend, shared her chicken stores. I really didn't fully understand when she said she could watch her chickens for hours and hours! I now understand!!!!
