Chicks from Greenfire Farms

My first order from GGF and I am so pleased. The only thing that went wrong was the number I gave them to call me was not what they gave to P.O. Tracking said my order was at my local P.O. but not getting a call, I went to P.O. last night right before closing and they had no record of them. This morning early I get a personal delivery from my mailman. He recognized my name and address and the chicks peeping called his attention to it. P.O. said they weren't able to contact the number given and he just went beyond the call of duty to bring them to me.
Anyway, all the chicks are healthy. I was given two xtra and they look good, also.
I ordered, 2 cream legbar, 2 Isbars and 2 Swedish Flowers. Now with 8 chicks I am trying to sort who is who by looking up
photos. I may have to just wait until they grow to know.
Does GGF usually give extras of the same breed you ordered? Anyone know?

My experience with GFF was not so great. They got my phone number wrong also, twice, along with no notice of shipping. The second time the post office left the chicks in a cold storage room and they all died. A stand by postmaster was in charge and he never thought of delivering the chicks to my home. They sent two extra on the third delivery, only one lived, but it was not worth the emotional train wreck that the wrong phone caused.

How awful. So sorry you had to experience that.

In addition to the wrong phone number they put on my box, my chicks were delayed one day because of a
snow storm in the midwest. I was frantic.

If the kind mailman had not intervened I don't know what would have happened. I was supposed to pick
the chicks up at the P.O., but he took initiative and personally drove them to my house! A blessing it was!
