We had a very broody BO hen and got two fertilized eggs from a friend. The hen sat on the eggs in one of the coop's nest boxes. The eggs hatched a couple of hours ago. What do we do? Leave the chicks with their adopted mom or move them to an incubator?

You can do whatever you want. People do it all kinds of ways for all kinds of reasons. There is no right or wrong way, just the way you choose to do it.

I personally allow my broodies to raise their chicks with the flock, the way chickens have been doing it for thousands of years. But that suits my personal goals and I’ve got plenty of room for Mama to use.

Thanks Flockmaster. We have plenty of room as well, so we going to try the natural version, but just put out come chick food as well.
