chicks hitting heads on heating element LG. will they burn to death

Mine would also be sleeping until I walked over. It was as if they knew someone was there and would go NUTS! I forced myself to not go over because they would try to get to me and be by those elements. UGH!! They were in a room that was light all day and they still did that. It must have more to do with a person coming over than the light.

Let us know how they are!

I have two LGs

I didn't want to but I had to take some out

So far in one LG 20 out of 25 are hatched and in a brooder. While I was at work a few hatched at once and the humidity was crazy high. Out of the 5 that didnt hatch yet I tossed one :( . it had the tip of his beak out of the shell...and died. The other 4 are still in the LG with no pips or anything

The other LG was a day later than the first. Some look like they may still hatch. I have 17 so far from that one. 12 that are in the brooder and 5 still in the LG

So far a total of 37 hatched and it looks like two more will be soon if all goes well. also still have a few pips.

I'm happy for my first time incubating ever!

They were okay with the heating element. I had to take them out before the hatch was complete. A few of them hatched at the same time. The humidity got crazy high and wouldn't come down. They looked like they were having problems breathing so I didn't want to lose them.
seemed to turn out okay. 20 out of 25 hatched so far in that LG so not bad for a 1st timer
