I am just wondering if chicks would be OK outside at this time...We are thinking of getting them around/after labor day, and keeping them outside (in an insulated, heatlamp-heated coop) ASAP. Will they be OK? Or will it be too cold in the MN fall/winter?

I hade my first chicks in my old chicken house in febuary or march,i sectioned off one section with landscaping cloth and used a heat lamp and they did well.

as long as you can keep the area under the brooder lamp at the right temp for their age, you should be fine.
