I ordered 10 turkey poults and there were 10 packing peanuts in with them. I suppose it is okay to brood them together? Just want to make sure. Would appreciate any advice on this.

Ha! DH has been turkey hunting too. I went yesterday and found 4! Of course, I had to pay for mine. From what I have read, it seems that the chicks are to help the turkeys eat, drink, etc. Mine seemed to have caught on pretty quickly and I've only had them for 6 hours. I sort of suspected there would be chicks in with the turkeys for to keep warm during shipping, etc. I already have 25 3 month old pullets, so once husband gets home from turkey hunting in WVA, I will see how we will handle 10 more chicks. How crazy is that, he's hunting turkeys and I just pick up 10 this AM.
