Hello!
These chicks are about 3 and a half weeks old, the olive eggers are possibly a bit older based on size. So far its been great, however I've noticed an odd sound recently that they make before falling asleep. It's a trilling like sound... pipipipipi...
It won't let me upload a video so I hope I'm able to find it :-(

This last batch of babies we raised have made that sound - I think it’s one in particular, an EE. They’re about 4.5 months old now and she’s always the first one up to roost at night, if I’m out there after they’ve gone to roost, she makes that sound…I think it’s like she’s saying she’s ready for bed, be quiet. Lol

One of my chicks did that when defecting, but he had a prolapse. Maybe give their bottoms a glance just to be safe to look for pasty butt, pecking or whatever. It won’t hurt to peek 👀
