no...I've never had this problem with my Langshans. They're usually up and running a few hours after hatching. These are Barred Rock mixes.
One died last night...it had a "blowout" of it's intestines. Nothing I could have done. The other one is still not walking. Gave it a bit of sugar water and it was not interested in the least.
These eggs came from a hen that randomly got into the Langshan pen and decided it would be a good place to lay. I have a feeling it's the same hen that runs away during the day and comes back at night, so her diet probably isn't the best in the world for hatching. Her eggs were an accident...
