okay i have 2 chicks that i will get pics of soon and 5 are peeping 2 EE and 3 brown
but i am worried about the storm knocking out power and killing the chicks while im at a archery tournament

Maybe put a hot water bottle or jug filled w hot water in the brooder wrapped in a towel just in case? If the power goes out they’ll have something warm to snuggle up against.

Ohhh they are hatching today. If they hatch before you go I would move them to the brooder and add an alternative heat source as I explained. If they are in the incubator it might hold the heat for a little bit during a power outage…keep the room they are in nice and warm so the temp will stay higher longer.
