Hello,

I recently got 10 chicks - and they are now about 2.5 weeks old. It's been about 75-80 degrees in my area, and I was wondering if it would be okay if I set up an area about the size of their brooder (1 meter by 2.5 meters), 'fence' it in and let them roam for about 15-25 minutes - and of course sitting right there with them. They all have about half of their feathers - so I assume it would be fine if they were outside? I would also put some food and water out there with them. Thanks!

Your outdoor temps are just where the brooder heat source temp should be, maybe even cooler because you are weaning the chicks off heat gradually.

The chicks would be fine outdoors even in much cooler temps as long as there are no chilling breezes.
