Chicks outgrowing brooder, Can they go outside?

His chickens shouldn't be on your property and vice versa. What are your laws as far as livestock - fence in or fence out? Really only a fence will keep the two groups apart.
I actually Am not sure about the laws. He has asked us if his roosters are bothering us and they weren’t so we said no. But now it is an issue. He said he can’t even catch them bc he thinks he has too many. We have fencing but it’s like 4 foot tall cheap farm fencing.

Might want to chat with him again. Maybe you can go 50/50 on the cost of improving the fence, if you know the birds are going over the fence to get into your yard. A floppy fence extension on top, like a foot or two of chicken wire, snow fencing, even netting, may be enough to deter them from going over.
