The overnight lows are about 45F - I moved the brooder outdoors. It has 4 walls and a tarp loosely over wire on the top (there is ventilation). I have a Binsea EcoGlow in there - there are 3 x 5 week old chicks and 2 x 3 week old chicks. Think they will be ok or should I move them in? (I'd really rather not but dont want them to freeze).

I've got 5, 4 week Olds and 5, 1 week Olds all outside. The 1 week Olds have been outside since day 2. I've got them all inside my coop with plywood walls but there is ventilation and a couple small windows. It's gotten down to 38 a couple nights. Mine have all done well. Just keep the lamp low enough to maintain a good temp around sunrise. I bought a wireless thermometer for $10 at Walmart. I can keep an eye on it while still inside and adjust the lamp accordingly.

There's sturdy wire on top with the tarp on top of that to help keep the breeze out. :)
