Chick's pip hole isn't that good Help!!

Hi so today I saw a pip crack. Later on the shell piece was higher off the egg. Good so far. My problem is that the shell piece is covering the pip hole because it pipped at the top of the egg.The chick sounds very weak. I think its not getting enough oxygen. Should I take the shell piece off. Please help!!

If it's making noise it's breathing. I vote give it more time and keep the lid closed

I had a chick last hatch that took 22 hours to hatchi after pip, it was torture watching and waiting

Leave it! If you’re really concerned try and take the piece off without opening the lid! A pip doesn’t need to be very big at all to hatch. Sometimes they are so small you can’t even see them!

what happens if the humidity gets too low and if i did the shell thing would the membrane dry out or shrink wrap
