Chicks - Q about growth

Can chicks grow at very different rates? I bought 6 RIRs. They were all around the same size, although I noticed a few were starting to get their wing feathers in. Now two of the six are huge, and the other four are still tiny. Also, one of the small ones has barely started to sprout her tail feathers, whereas, the rest have fairly decent sized ones growing in. I heard that roos tend to be slower with feather growth - is that true? Or can their growth rates just vary a lot?
We took them outside yesterday to play for the first time- it was around 75F. The biggest one ate an entire dragonfly, and they were all chasing her around trying to get it from her. lol.

Yes the birds do grow at different rates.

And yes, roos tend to feather more slowly.
