Chicks reaction to hobbles.

I had to hobble one of my new chicks, I guess she got on the paper in the incubator and slept funky and now one of her little legs is splayed out. I followed the excellent directions I found thanks to you guys, however is it going to take the chick a while to get used to them? She hopped straight up and landed on her side acting dead with her legs straight out behind her, then flopped back into an upright position but seems pretty perturbed about the whole situation. I found plenty of advice on how to do it, but nothing on how they act after.
