I went home for lunch today and took at peek at my brooder with 11 chicks (~2 weeks old). All 11 of them were face down in the shavings...I had never seen all 11 of them asleep at the same time so I thought I poisoned them somehow! I reached in to pick one up and they all jumped up and ran around... PHEW!
my chix perch on a branch i put in their tub. They start to droop their heads and doze off. Then they'll start to lean to one side, the wing comes out and she tries to lean on it, starts to slide down the branch and then jerks upright and looks puzzled and starts all over. I could watch that all night! Quetz.
