I feel like that old Folgers Coffee commercial:

(Hushed Voice) "We have secretly replaced Angie's dead eggs with 2 day-old baby chicks. Let's watch..."

So far so good, I guess. She looks a little confused, but she's not attacking them.
I really want to see her take them outside and show them how to eat.

No pics yet. I'm just leaving mama and babies alone right now. They're in their own coop/ run. I'll try to get pics and post soon.

Well, they're still alive.
And she's sitting on them.
So I guess those are good signs.
I just would love to see them eat and drink.

I just did this and it went well. Not when I tried it in the daytime, but overnight. Sounds like you did it right!

I have my huge buff orpington on two tiny little babies (they may be bantams, don't know yet).

Good luck with your mama.

Ellie

Thanks Ellie.
So far so good!
I haven't seen them eat or drink yet (I also haven't been around them all day)
but she has them under her wings right now, so she seems to have accepted them.
I just need to make sure they're eating tomorrow.

I just posted pics of mine if you want to take a look. They are BR's and she is a BO and it looks a little different but she doesn't mind.

I did the same: stared at them until I was sure they got water. The mom actually shows them how to eat. It is really cute.

Well she did it!
I went down this morning to find the mama in her little run, with the babies hopping all over her!
She's showing them how to eat and drink!
She's out of the nest for the first time in ages -- and eating, herself!!
Phew, it seems to have worked.
I'll take some better pics soon, but here are a few.
