I went out to check some baby chicks I had in a seperate pen and one was laying down a d seemed lethargic. I picked it up and noticed bloody looking stool where it had been. Its in with 3 others same breed.
I use a quart waterer with the screw on lid for them. I have Corid to use but not sure how much to put in the water. Also, I have someone taking care of my animals this weekend because Im going out of town so Im not sure if I can mix up some water to leave or they need to give fresh every day. I cant not go this weekend so this couldnt happen at a worse time.
Do I have to keep the Corid refrigerated? Because right now the bottle has been kept there.

Below is the common dosage for Corid.

Most people use the severe outbreak dose of 1.5 teaspoons per gallon.

Treatment20% Powder9.6% Liquid
For 3-5 days1.5 teaspoons per gallon2 teaspoons per gallon
then for 7-14 days1/3 teaspoon per gallon1/2 teaspoon per gallon

Hopefully, someone with more experience will chime in. But I would start Corid right now. It is supposed to be mixed fresh everyday. These things always happen at the wrong time!

Thanks! I will tell my helper to mix it fresh every day. I thought it was supposed to be done like that. Its been so long since I had to do this. And yes, bad timing i did put some in thier water tonight and syringed some in the sick ones beak to get some in him.
