These chicks hatched the 13th so they are only 4 days old. Some of their poop looks like it’s all water. They are getting probiotics and electrolytes/vitamins in their water. Other than the poop they act happy and healthy. They are being kept inside in a large rabbit cage. They have a light to get under and can get away from it if they get to hot and they get fresh water daily. Their food is Purina medicated start & grow. Is something going on with them or is it somewhat normal?

Edit: I just read that it might be a good idea to take them off the electrolyte/vitamins since their food and regular water should be enough for them now. I will give it a try and see if it helps.

No, I'd save it.

I would not be giving it daily.
Maybe once a week or once every two weeks.
please note that the directions say you're supposed to mix a new batch daily. if you're using one packet each day that's going to get expensive real quick.

If you've given it for three or four days already I'd say stop.

Okay, thanks! They have a quart waterer so a pack lasted me four days but I will give them plain water from now on. Also another question I have is should I be giving them grit? I have noticed them eating pine shavings every once in a while
