I will have chicks in a week. Is the medicated starter ok for the adults also. I’m not collecting any eggs rt now

Medicated starter is fine but be sure once your hens start laying, supplement them with something like cracked oyster shell for calcium for there egg shells.

Medicated Chick Starter around here has Amprolium as the active ingredient.
I fed my laying hens the Medicated Start & Grow (after their Non-Medicated feed ran out) when I got day old Chicks.
It's safe to eat the eggs from Pullets/Hens fed a Medicated feed with Amprolium. I did!
The Hens got Medicated feed for about 7 to 8 weeks. Then got a Non-Medicated feed when I switched the Chicks to Non-Medicated after 10 weeks. GC

Just wanted to add (like Braves06 said) that the Laying Pullets/Hens need a Calcium source when fed a Starter Grower feed. Around here it's Oyster Shells. 20181214_095753.jpg . GC
