How old do chick's need to be before you can put them with the flock

At least 16-19 days old in my experience

I just did my 19-20 day olds yesterday and today.

10 weeks? Yes they absolutely can join the flock, though they're at the difficult stage where they're too big to use a panic door method of integration, yet too small to stand up to adults.

How long have they been in line of sight of the adults?

They were in sight of the other now about 8 weeks. Don't know the breed a friend of mine gave me the eggs for the incubator but they are the size of the chicken I already have.
