chicks

Welcome to BYC! Thanks for joining us.
Go ahead and kick them out. Keep them in the coop and run only until they're mostly mature before letting them roam the yard (if you plan on doing that).

I'd check on them every night to make sure they are going into the coop to sleep. It's common for chicks to huddle in a corner of the run and sleep, so you might need to put them to bed a few nights in a row until they learn where to go.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Yes they will be fine being so warm and summer. At their age, I would keep them in the run only until they get a bit older, they are small enough to disappear outside free ranging.

Welcome to our community!
They will be in a run only. I built them a huge run so they should do great.

I like to keep mine "locked up" in the coop (i suppose "cooped up" would be the appropriate term :) ) for a few days before exploring the run. I think it helps them get used to the space and see it as their safe place. Also, I think it helped avoid having to put chickens in the coop every night after dark because they never really figured out where "home" was.

Thanks Kiki, I am moving them out this weekend. Should I keep them in the coop for a day or just turn them loose!
I would take them out during the night so they can grow accustomed to the heat.
Be sure they have plenty of deep shade and cool water. Have some chicken electrolytes on hand for emergencies.
