chicks

should your chick always have other chick around or can they be alone?
I had a chick that all of her freinds died and she was so sad that she would chirp for me and then me and her were freinds, but it was hard having to be around her soooooooooo much and once she moved into the flock she wasn’t on board with the idea of other chickens and ended up getting her eye and back of her head pecked and took a loooooong time to heal and for her to be a part of the flock. So never keep a chick alone.

The only way they should ever end up alone is if the others died or didn’t make it in hatch. Never intentionally should a chick be kept alone.
so the mother chicken had the chick we bought inside the house cause it was abandoned and it looked like it was about to die, it had two more but they looked healthy and good but the next day one was dead and the other one was injured really bad like they got pecked on really bad so we took it inside to try to to save it but it died on us the next day
