Has anyone opened the lid and candled the eggs on day 21 and had them still hatch? The eggs are still chirping and rocking

its not something you should do unless its already pipped the aircell the rocking is them getting into position I have candled and found that they had and even had one pip the shell while I candled... it can be done but again, not recommended.

also, if its chirping it is thru the aircell, you want to keep the humidity Upson open the incubator as little as possible.

Thanks, I didn't know it was not a good idea until I read the forums. It's my first hatch. They are still cheeping so I'm hopeful I didn't ruin things

We now have 4 out and doing the chick thing.. 2 of which are Naked Necks. They seem to be tuff little guys. Two more cracking shell, and 3 not much happening. We started out with 12 eggs, two duds. Well still a good start.

I got nothing.. Day 29 for geese and turkeys.. Turkey eggs doing the wiggle dance most of yesterday, nothing today...Still hopeful its the calm before the storm
