"If I were you I would be careful with what I say." Asa announced casually as he stepped out from the shadows of the stairway at their right. "Ryker has given me authority over you both, and if you don't respect that I can easily find a reason to have you replaced in this mission."

Elliot nodded, saying softly "My princess has to be shown affection." He reached over, and twirled her around, whispering "You should get changed."

When they stopped in the hall Layla prepared herself, reining in her anger in an attempt to keep herself focused so she didn't start any fights. However she snapped back in surprise at what actually came out of Nova then. Layla was still angry but now she was shocked, it sounded not too much unlike her own story. He was Nova's only friend too it seemed, hearing it from Nova gave her a new perspective. With a frustrated sigh she clenched and unclenched her fists and took a few shuddering deep breathes. "Feed the good wolf, feed the good wolf." She muttered under her breath before finally addressing Nova. "Yeah no I get it, hes my only friend here too, so yeah, just don't try to boss me around again and were good." Even having calmed herself down a bit it still came out a bit more angry then she had planned. But she was trying and hoped Nova could see that. If she couldn't and she reacted poorly well then things were going to get interesting.

Nova dipped her head in a nod then tried a small smile. "Alright, I really do have reports to make, so you can go back to sitting with him if you want to. I'm glad I'm not his only friend." She said, taking a step back then waving a little and turning to leave them for now.

(I'm not sure. When I'm on the rp's page I don't pay attention to the notifications, I just scroll down to see new posts, but sometimes I miss something.)
"I don't know, anymore." He answered in a lowered voice.

Zaine didn't say anything more before he read he letter. He skimmed it once, then read again, slower this time to make sure he didn't miss anything. Nothing exactly screamed I'm going to attack you, and he said so. "Sir, you must know something I don't. Ryker sounds perfectly courteous in here to me." He glanced at the box and swallowed hard. As far as décapitations went, this one at least had good intentions. "If you're worried for your life or those here anymore than usual, I would suggest an up in the security," he offered helpfully. "I'll keep an ear out for suggestive chat among the the others during classes and meals, if you'd like. There's not much else to do around here that I would find as interesting."

Nova dipped her head in a nod then tried a small smile. "Alright, I really do have reports to make, so you can go back to sitting with him if you want to. I'm glad I'm not his only friend." She said, taking a step back then waving a little and turning to leave them for now.

Layla nodded at Nova, she was pleased with herself for not completely loosing it. Although she couldn't bring herself to smile or anything at the woman she settled for a simple nod and wave. As she left she let out a deep shaky breath that she hadn't been fully aware she was holding and sighed. It was progress she guessed, and she was happy she didn't have leave Leverett for now. She went back into the lab and sat down next to Leverett again watching him polish off what was left on his plate.

"Uh yeah," Priam said. He was preparing to set his jaw for silence when Atalanta sent him a look. "And you?" He asked Iris.

Iris nodded, asking "I slept well too." Iris smiled at him and continued walking, looking at the scenery around her.

"But to rely upon a crutch is tricky business. Should her crutch fail her, Layla's right back where she started from, because she'd never learned to stand on her own. Never outsource for something you have to do in house. That is what I have learned and that's where my first laboratory failed. Liam, remember to use the shock sticks, I made them mandatory, remember?" Ryker said as he looked at Liam directly.

Leverett kept glancing to the hallway and watched his two guardian angels talking through the glass. What had happened between then to make them so tense to eachother? He took a sip from the juice box to try and get rid of the cotton mouth the had from the anesthesia they must have used.

Liam nodded to Ryker as the the two women parted and Layla came back in to sit by Leverett. "I know they are mandatory I just hate using them. However I also hate sharp teeth gnawing on my limbs so no worries I will remember to bring it. I'll drop this plate over with Layla and then head off to find Amaryllis." He replied looking to Ryker to see if there was anything else he needed or wanted to say before he headed off.

Iris nodded, asking "I slept well too." Iris smiled at him and continued walking, looking at the scenery around her.

Atalanta skipped ahead, then back to them, like an excited puppy let off the leash finally. It wasn't that the outside was anything new to her, she was just particularly looking forward to this outing with her brother and Iris.

Priam chuckled softly as he watched her. He loved her dearly and it made him happy to see her so happy. "Have you any siblings?" He asked Iris.

Nova headed for the dining room to get breakfast now that she was certain Leverett hadn't died while she slept or anything like that. She would eat there and if undisturbed, head to do her report and analysis afterwards.
