Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Atalanta splashed her then dove under the rocking water. It felt cool and clean against her skin, unlike the salty ocean earlier.

"I care," Lucy shot back, surprising herself with her honesty as she said it. "I don't want anyone getting hurt unnecessarily. Besides, if you had been seen, that could put Ioan and all he's worked for her in danger as well."
Iris began swimming leisurely, going periodically under the water, enjoying herself with her friend.

Victor looked at her, questioning her extremely. He responded “Why so you care about this place? It’s school. Like everyday. For the rest of you’re life.”

"I don't have a preference, do you?" He admitted with a shrug of his shoulders.
Nova smiled then shrugged "My favorite place is the roof, but it has bad memories too. Maybe just a walk in the woods? Or to the beach? Or go check on Leverette and see if he's awoken yet?"

Atalanta swam over to the side and rested her forearms on the concrete edge.

"No, I didn't mean I cared about this place," Lucy said, sighing softly. "I don't. I'd like to be far, far from here, if it was within my power. But I'm here. We're here. If we go—lord, would I love to—and are spotted, what are we leaving everyone here to?" Not that she cared. She wasn't supposed to care. She'd made the decision long ago, when they were first "rescued", that she wasn't going to care about anyone or anything here besides herself. Ugh. Yet here she found herself, caring.

Iris asked casually “How’s Priam, the mysterious man he is doing?”

Victor questioned quickly “So you do care. If you care I’ll stay.” He added “It’s important to know who you are.” He didn’t want to admit that, but he just had. He cared enough about her that he would stay. He never thought himself that he could care. He always didn’t take things seriously, but it was different here.

Layla smiled at his words, normally if someone had said that to her before she would have made a snarky comment or attempted to maim them. But she found his gentlemanly ways strangely charming. Perhaps it was just because she had committed herself to the friendship so she accepted his interesting mannerisms as normal. She would have to test this later with someone else to see if she was going soft. Of course that would probably be unfortunate for whoever ended up on the end of her torment but she cared little about them. "I am glad I can help in any way. So do you like to read much?" She asked racking her brain for something to ask him. She never liked reading much but wondered if he did.

Adrian smiled, "Well I will make sure that your curiosity doesn't end in your demise. Come here little kitty." He said resisting the urge to say here kitty kitty like she was a pet, he didn't think she would find that nearly as amusing as he would. He sat down on the bed and waited for her to decide what she wanted to do. He wondered if there was anyone in the kitchens at this point thinking perhaps they could go there and he could make something for her. But first he wanted to just have some one on one time with her, in case there were others there he wasn't keen on sharing her at the moment.

(Bumping for Nicky I think it got buried. :thumbsup )

Leah smiled, responding in a mock tone “I honestly am surprised that worked.” She looked at him happily, glad to be enjoying herself, which was something she had been afraid of doing for months. She started defending again, pressuring him so he would hopefully miss.

William chuckled at her, "Real mature pick on the guy who sucks at the game but finally made a shot." He laughed though happy to see her enjoying herself and coming out of her shell more. He dribbled the ball and tried to shoot it passed her and missed horribly.
