Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Alastor remained quiet for the duration of the journey back to the lab. The elevator ride the most awkward by far. When they reached her cell, he unlocked it and held the door open for her to go inside. He wanted to say something, but held his tounge.
~~~
Willow sighed softly as Adrian worked his magic. "I love your fingers in my hair. You make me want to purr all the time, like some cat cliche." She said pleasantly as he tried to hold her head still.
As they approached her cell she growled instinctively as she saw it come into sight. Her own desire to be free struggling with her need to be locked up. She paused at the door and looked up at him and for a moment thought he was going to say something but when he did nothing she stepped inside and backed herself up against the wall and stayed there. Once he closed the door she would let loose her anger and her frustration at having had to hurt him so. She would throw the books he had brought her around the cell, rip her mattress up with her claws and scream in frustration like a wild animal.
Adrian finished her braids and smoothed any stray hairs with a pleased smile. "Well you can purr as much as you want around me. I won't tell anyone that your being horribly cliche." He told her with a grin as he turned her to face him. "There all done to perfection, you look beautiful."
"You name it and we'll do it. I was growing a little bored with my mischief. Honest, it was like a cat and a mouse. "Madison said cheerfully as they walked together.
Eirik hid his cringe at hearing Harper's voice. He looked to her with a big smile and said with confidence. " Well, Ryker sent me on a errand for him. I was to tell Gideon something for him. So as you can see, I was just on my way back. "
Saskia chuckled at that as she considered what sort of trouble they could get into this evening. "Perhaps we should start by raiding the kitchen, then once properly fueled lets go start some chaos." She suggested feeling a little better about it already.
***
Harper narrowed her eyes and frowned at him, he was not being very convincing. "If Ryker wished to tell Gideon something he would do it himself. If you have hurt him in any way you will be sorry." She warned him, she like Gideon and would be upset if he had done something. As she was also well aware Ashton would likely be furious. "As for why your up here I am assuming someone let you out? You behave yourself I won't lock you back up, I don't really want to fight you to get you put back away anyways. In fact if your going to be wandering around up here I better accompany you, so neither of us get in trouble." She said with a sigh, looked like she was not going to be getting to bed as planned.
Leah smiled at the mention of their former coincidence meeting. She rubbed against his chest, burying her ears against it. She growled contentedly, asking quietly "Do you have many friends here?", silently hoping the answer was no for a second, before realizing internally that would be selfish.
William considered that before shaking his head. "I know many people here, and I am friendly with most. But I would only call a few friends. " He told her softly as he watched as the sky darkened and the stars came out.
Nick plucked a leaf from the salad and held it tightly between his thumb and forefinger. "Too floppy," he declared, examining it briefly before dropping it. "Unless you take bribes of floppy spinach?" He looked questioningly at her.
"You don't think she'll be back?" Zaine looked to the door, as if Alexis would appear there any minute. "I guess I'll go, then. See you later," he said, pushing off the wall and heading out as quickly as possible without looking desperate.
Ellie chuckled as she watched the spinach fall back to the plate. "No floppy spinach is not a proper bribe. In fact offer that too me and I may leave even faster." She said with a smile as she reached out and pulled a grape from his plate and put it in her mouth.
Lyra then headed off to the shower with a sigh as she shut the door behind her.
Nick sighed resignedly as he pushed the spinach away with his fork. He flipped another leaf over to reveal the remaining berry. "At this rate," he said, watching her eat the grape, "you won't be here much longer. Unless I can convince to chew that and this very, very slowly." Chuckling, he shook his head slowly as he proceeded to finish eating.
Alexis finished her shower and preparing for the day. With a final check in the mirror, she hurried out of the room. On her way to the cafeteria for breakfast, she stopped by Lyra's room and popped her head in. No Zaine, she noted. "I'm heading to eat," she called loud enough to be heard over the running shower. "Meet ya there?"
Asa loaded his luggage in the trunk and went to the front to seat himself in the passenger chair. He motioned to the driver, and the limo eagerly pulled out of the driveway. "Ioan has been told were government officials who need to authorize the students progress, and how well they are being cared for, but secretly we will be checking the building for faults in its security and getting loyal students of Ryker to prepare for an intake within the building, them will help Ryker to get inside." Asa explained casually, watching out the window. "There is too much to explain everything we will do, but we will use our position as a cover, and will manipulate Ioan if he questions our actions but reminding him the government withdrawn financial support if he refuses to cooperate." He smiled smugly to the couple for a brief second.
Zoe listened to the brief briefing as Asa spoke. She frowned a little but nodded. "Today is just to look at their security and tie into it?" She asked to be certain.
(Blergh. Whoops. Let's just pretend I didn't post that. Also, I just realized I made her name Abigail, not Ruby. My fault. Too many rps :p)
Abigail shook her head. "Everything is going as you said it would. The energy and strength in the sun is more than I expected."
(Ok, I was wondering about that and I completely understand about too many rps.. :) )
Ryker looked at the slight green of her complexion and smiled. "That's wonderful news Abigail. Everything has worked out just as I'd hoped with your hybridization. " He said as he prepared her arm to take blood. " Does your strength waiver any at night?" He then asked curiously.
"Has there been any mention of moving out?" Priam asked. He took a swallow of water then moved the glass towards the center of the small table so it wouldn't fall off. "As in, moving out of the cells to the upper floor?"
Allen laughed at that. "I might, but where's the fun in life if you don't risk something you may regret here or there."
"Oh you'd be surprised," Haley said, chuckling. She sped her step, smiling back at him as she tugged him along with her. They'd missed the sunset, but the moonlit night was just as beautiful. "One day we should try to get lost out here," she said, sighing softly.
Irene shrugged and said, "Not that I know of, only the suggestion that a lot weighed on my next performance review. So that's why I wanted the extra time to practice and why I begged Harper to let me go to the gym today."
~~~
Ashton snorted and headed with him down the hallway. "Spoken like someone who doesn't have a lot of regret clouding their past. I've seen true regret change people." She said quietly.
~~~
Dyrus appreciated that concept, regardless of how frivolous is sounded. "I'd could get lost with you any day." He said lovingly as he let Haley lead him. He adored that about her.
"Nothing." Cyra quickly defended. How could she speak of her affections for him for fear they wouldn't be returned? Was it possible, that in such a short time she'd fallen in love with him? A month ago her actions didn't depend on what others thought of her, but now she was under a spell. She would do anything for him, whether or not he loved her, if it meant making him happy.
Amaryllis closed the door, taking the waters from Vasper, setting two on the nightstand. She observed her brother for a moment before speaking. "I remember his wings like it was the day before today, but my yesterday is eight years of Anuerin's life that I missed. He's changed, and it scares me that I might never know what happened to him while I was away." She admitted emotionly. With a steadying breath she walked over to two cushioned, comfortable chairs that were arranged around a table. Taking a seat in one she drank the water slowly, looking at the card table thoughtfully as she remembered sleeping here when she missed her mom, Anuerin's company easing her grief.
Indigo searched Cyra's gaze, not believing the the deflection. He wondered if he'd gone too deep with here? She'd been his first recruit and brainwash. Or perhaps females were more emotionally based and her loyalty to him came with complications. Either way, he didn't mind her affectionate attachment to him. He smiled softly and cupped her cheek with one hand gently. "It didn't look like nothing. It looked like something. Something pretty important to you." He observed aloud.
~~~
Vasper sat in the vacant chair and listened intently to what Amaryllis said. He reflected deeply of his own torment and replied, "It doesn't matter that you've missed that time with him. You can't change that, no matter how much you wish it away. What's important now, is that you're here to piece him back together. Be the glue that makes him strong again. You have that effect on people."

Layla was not good with words, nor did she really know how to answer such a question. She felt a pang in her chest at it though, she wanted to help him she just didn't know how. "Leverett, I don't know how to answer that, or how to help you. I just know that I need to. I also know that you befriended me when everyone else ran the other way. You believed and saw good in me when there was little. If you can do that with me surely you can do so with yourself." She said as she searched his face, trying to see if what she had said made any sense to him. She leaned forward and hugged him gently, wanting to offer what comfort she could without hurting him.
At first, Leverett fought the tears that brimmed his eyes, but ultimately let them shed quietly. He wrapped his good arm around Layla and took the comfort she offered him so freely. " I had an idea of myself at the time. But it has only been recently that I realized it was a ruse. I don't know who I lied to first, myself or everyone else. I only know, I'm a hollow hypocrite and if you bought the words I sold you, then I conned you." He finally said.
