Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Alexis hadn't thought that far. She looked to Dimitri but when he gave his idea, she quickly realized it was up to her. "Is letting you live not good enough? You seriously need more?" She joked. She scrunched up her nose in thought as she went over what they could do for the guy, besides letting him live, since apparently he was greedy like the rest of the world and wanted more. It had to be something that wouldn't affect her and Dimitri much, but it had to be worth it for Adam's time.
"Are you low on help in here? You may have a dishwasher but surely there are other things that have to be done manually," she finally said.

Adam grinned and nodded his approval of Alexis's idea. "Now that's something I could always use. But sadly, it would mean giving you sharp pointy things. What if Loan found out? I could lose my job." He said with obvious concern.

Amaryllis smiled gratefully to Haley for her aid. She entered the hotel, and was greeted by warmth from the cool night air. Wearily she took seat in the lobby while waiting the return of her friend.
Haley waited till the receptionist looked up then simply said, "I need a room."
The woman looked at her with obvious disdain on her face. "Obviously. What kind?"
"Two beds would be good," Haley replied, her voice showing more confidence than she felt.
"Two beds," the woman mused as she looked over a thick pad of paper covered in undefinable writing. "Too bad. We only got a twin and a pull out couch. Here's the key," she said brusquely, shoving the key in Haley's face and turning away in her rolling chair before anything else could be asked.
Haley had expected there to be more to it; maybe the discussion of payment or even the direction of the room, but there was nothing. With a shrug, she turned on her heel and went over to Amaryllis. "Got it!" she whispered excitedly.

Ryker reached up to clasp Anuerin's closest wrist before pile driving his left elbow into his son's rib cage. Once the blow landed, he ducked under Anuerin's hold upon his neck while bringing his son's captured wrist around to the small of his back and shoved him against a nearby tree trunk. "Nice try, but I've been around awhile boy! But for the record, I told your mother I could never love her that way. My research was everything to me. Part of why I left. I paid her handsomely for her inconvenience. But she chose to keep you." He snarled in Anuerin's ear.

:)hide Don't hate me. He's evil. )

Aneurin gasped for lack of oxygen with the blow to his rib cage. He attempted to stumble backwards, hoping to avoid his father while recovering but was forced against a tree. "Liar!" He denied. Using the wrist held behind his back as leverage and dropping to the ground, felt his father pulled forward; his head being caused to slam against the tree. Not waiting for his father to recover, Anuerin rolled out of his way as he felt his wrist freed.
(Going to answer this first, cause I can't wait anylonger!)

Alexis mentally went over how to proceed with this. Sarcasm was always a fun route, but maybe not the best when you're on the losing side of things. Guilt, however, nearly always worked.
"The slim chance of Ioan finding out you were desperate for help so you gave some adults a couple dull butter knives, or Tiger here wins and we both may be eaten," she said dramatically with a wink to Dimitri.

Ryker grunted as his head made contact with the trunk. The rough bark leaving lacerations in his hairline that bled worse than their severity. He recovered his balance and turned to look at Anuerin. "Believe whatever is easiest for you Anuerin. But let me pose a question of my own to you. If your beloved mother loved you so unconditionally, why then did she keep Amaryllis so long, yet she sent you off to me, her supposed villain? Perhaps because you were bought and paid for long ago?" He replied as he wiped the blood from his forehead with his sleeve.

Adam was taken off guard by the humor of Alexis's statement. "Oh, you're good. Alright, I'll cave and add Creme Brûlée to the menu. But only under the terms and conditions that were proposed. You're both my new sous chefs." He said with satisfaction.

Dimitri did a little happy dance in his mind. He was most eager to try the delicious sounding dessert. "Oh, man. I lost! I can't believe it." He said petulantly.
