Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Laurel seemed hesitant, at first, not wanting to take part in another person's pain, but she acknowledged that it would be worse for him if his arm wasn't put back in place. After a moment of thought, she followed closely after the men.

"Why is it always the arms? " Alastor said rhetorically. Eric shook his hand and shrugged anyway. Alastor glanced back to see if Laurel was still following. "So has any part of you shifted? Hands, feet or teeth? Each sirum responds differently between individuals." He asked her curiously.

Leverett could hear the approach of several people and called out urgently, "Help me, someone! I'm in here. I need help!"

Dyrus stepped out into a clearing and looked to the small cabin there. The smoke coming from the chimney proved that someone was indeed home or at least close by.
"Well, the scent heads right to the front steps. You thinking they're dumb enough to hunker down so soon?" Vasper asked as he came over to Dyrus's side.
Dyrus shook his head in negation, "It's not a matter of wits, it's a matter of weakening." He replied matter-of-factly.
Vasper nodded, "Yeah, in her file it stated Amaryllis has medical issues. I've also noticed they're traveling less and less each day. So it must be getting pretty critical."

"So let's go play big bad wolf and see how many little piggies are actually holed up in there. " Dyrus said with excitement, as he led the way. When he got to the door, he pounded loudly upon it.

"I don't—" Joey was stopped short by his friend.
"It'd be our pleasure," Pete said sweetly. He then grabbed J by the elbow and dragged him out from behind the dumpster.
"We can't just help the lady! We don't even know if she's telling the truth!" Joey said in a hushed voice.
Pete leaned around to see if Amaryllis was watching. "I think she's telling the truth, and me Mum says you always ought to help people! You never know when you'll be the helpless one asking," he argued reasonably.
Joey gave in, nodding his approval. "Fine then. But we're going to your pantry! My mum is home and she int in a good mood, what with the little ones being such a handful right now."

Haley hurried to where Amaryllis was as soon as the boys were out of sight. "Are you okay?" She asked worriedly.

"I'm fine," Amaryllis answered, "Haley, they've offered to help us!" She whispered excitedly to her friend.

(Yasssss)

Mister hunter dude scowled when he heard a loud knock on the door. "I come out here once a year for a couple weeks of solitude! And what do I get?? So many lost, ignorant people who can't read a dang map to save their life!" He fumed not so quietly to himself. Slapping down his newspaper, he jumped up from his oversized chair by the fire to go see who it was. The sooner he answered them and sent them on their merry way, the better.

At the door, he was about to open the door but stopped to ruffle up his hair and grab a cup of coffee. Maybe if he looked to have just woken up, they would feel bad and get lost ASAP. He opened the door to a pair of scary looking men that he was pretty positive weren't lost. "What do you want?" He asked sleepily, throwing in a fake yawn for good measure.

"Well thanks for shattering another dream. Just so you know, I always wanted to go on The Voice. But now that all over with. " Dimitri said with mock regret as he put his hands on his hips and looked to the floor. For added effect, he threw in a sniffle here and there. He also peeked to see if Alexis was buying what he was selling.
"That's the sequel, and we'll call it Dream Shatterer Meets Tiger With a Teddy Bear Heart!" Alexis joked. Noticing his little stance, she looked up at him. "Oh, no, did I hurt Tigger's feelings?" She gave him a little pat on the shoulder and pretended to fall for it. "I sorry. Geez, I should just keep my mouth shut 24/7."

Laurel looked up from her thoughts when she understood that Alasror was speaking to her. "I, don't know. Most of the changes I can't explain, but my teeth have changed, so have my nails." She answered with lack of understanding. She was about to say something more when she heard a man's desperate cry for help. Her expression changed to concern, and she ran ahead of the men, the voice leading her inside the training room. She rushed to sit at Leverett's side."Don't worry," she said calmly, "The doctor is coming." She smiled warmly at the man, wishing there was some way to ease his pain.

"I'm fine," Amaryllis answered, "Haley, they've offered to help us!" She whispered excitedly to her friend.
"That's good!" Haley said, trying to summon some excitement for the girl's sake. But they needed to get out, and now. Sneaking out of this town unnoticed was growing harder by the minute as people were waking and walking. They would be spotted many more times she was sure before they made it to the woods.

Ashton sat back in her seat and shrugged nonchalantly. "Good thing I don't have plans to quit my day job then." She said matter-of-factly.

Anuerin moaned in despair and leaned further back in his seat.

Amaryllis' smile faded as she studied her friend; she seemed, upset. "Haley, what's wrong?" She asked with concern.

"We need to get going," Haley said quietly, "I'm not sure we can wait on the boys." It was conflicting, the necessitates time and food. They needed both but could only have one.
