Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Amaryllis nodded solemnly at the medic's words, a little surprised by his expression that he cared about what happened to her. Her pale blue eyes widened at the sight of Vasper, afraid that he was eager to again hurt her, when a thought of great importance came to mind. "My brother. He is alive? Where's my brother?!" She moaned desperatly.

"Yes, I believe so. Ryker came out to collect him himself. I imagine he's back in the laboratories. Regardless, we need to get you stable and back as well. You really shouldn't have been out there running around." The medic spoke softly with Amaryllis. Let alone suffering from an amputation, he left that part unsaid.

Dimitri finished shifting the books on the shelf and looked at his handiwork. He then knelt down to help Alexis with the lower shelves.
Alexis worked in silence to prove her point that duct tape wasn't necessary, but it was certainly harder than she thought. Silence didn't sit well with her.

Donella helped them both put stuff back away again then looked around and shrugged "Well, the tiger certainly isn't here. Are we going to look for him again?" She asked, looking to Andorra again.

"A good old fashioned tiger hunt sounds like fun. You in?" Andorra asked Zaine pleasantly.
"Uh, sure," Zaine agreed. Once Dimitri was found, he could pass the girls off to him to handle.

Laurel remained quiet while Alastair and Leverett talked, feeling their conversation was one that was not her place to join in. She smiled as Leverett came to stand before her, and warmly accepted his hand to shake it. "It was a pleasure," she returned.

"Aurora Revoir, Laurel. " Leverett said with a warm smiled and headed for the door.

Alastor got the tray with the supplies he needed to draw more blood and came over to her. "Alright, lets get the hard part done first. Then I'm going to have to check out your stitches. Just to ensure there is no unexpected problems. " He said gently.

Dyrus stopped and turned to Jarvis and snarled, "look, you're slowing me down! When I find her, I'll call you in to collect us. This one is proving to be intelligent and I need to focus on every detail."

Jarvis looked hard at Dyrus for a long time before he conceded, "Fine! But you'd best find her soon or it's you tail on the line. "

"Oh, believe me, I will. This is personal now. I love a challenge and I'm not challenged very often. " Dyrus said before sprinting off after Haley unimpeded by standard humans.
(Where is Haley's form? It's not on the character page.)
(Yeah, the page isn't updated. Put 'name: Haley Floyd' in the searchfield on this thread. That should find it fast enough.)

Haley grabbed the rail at the corner and turned sharply, going up the steps at as fast a pace as possible. Whoever was leading the hunt was not far behind, yet she was no longer scared of what would happen when she was caught. Training at the labs had been strenuous at best; but the thrill of this was exhilarating, giving her a feeling she doubted she would ever get again.

Alexis worked in silence to prove her point that duct tape wasn't necessary, but it was certainly harder than she thought. Silence didn't sit well with her.

Dimitri sighed softly and looked to Alexis, "You know I was only teasing. I love the sound of you voice Alexis. The absence of it makes the world a colder place. Not unlike the sun upon a rainy day." He said with sincerity.

"Uh, sure," Zaine agreed. Once Dimitri was found, he could pass the girls off to him to handle.

Andorra grinned and said, "You don't really care for me, do you Zaine?" She'd caught a scent from him more then once now. But it wasn't until now, that she realized what it meant...annoyance.

"Well, you're a lamb. But I should try it occasionally, as much as I dislike it," Alexis replied.
------
Hands in pockets, Zaine shrugged. "I don't care for most people," he said quietly. "It's just, I just, have never been around many people. I had seven siblings yet I found the aloneness in the woods more to my liking. At the lab, we were all separated by cell walls except for training. And training wasn't for hanging out and getting to know people. It was fight or flight, and frankly, flight didn't usually end well. Now here, there are people everywhere. I'm still trying to sort things out, figure who I can handle at this time." He turned to face her before continuing. "Please don't take this the wrong way. You're different than the few people I've found myself close to. Not bad different, at all, just a different that I'm not used to. Give me time. I don't dislike you."

"A lamb? I'm not familiar with that expression. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Dimitri asked with a rueful smile.

Andorra nodded understanding and admitted reflectivity, "I know I haven't made it easy for you and that I'm a lot to take in at times. So thank you for being honest with me. I value that above most things in this new life. I'll give you time, Zaine. I promise, I will." She said softly and held out her hand in agreement.

Nova tilted her head at that then frowned and looked ahead, opening a door when they reached the rooms she wanted. "But what if he can make her well again?" She didn't like thinking of Ryker as being wrong, but then again this was Anuerin that was telling her.

"He could," Anuerin replied after silently entering the room, "but he won't"

"Yes, I believe so. Ryker came out to collect him himself. I imagine he's back in the laboratories. Regardless, we need to get you stable and back as well. Amaryllis became silent. Despite what the medic told her she only knew where Anuerin had been taken, but she still had many questions on if Ryker hurt him, and what Ryker intended to do with him knowing that he disobeyed.
