Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"Second generation," Aralyn explained with hardly any patience, "Ryker gave me the ability to shift so that I could walk."
"Ah." Priam nodded solemnly. "It's painful, I take it," he said, his tone suggesting a question. She had looked pained during the shift, so he was looking for confirmation of that.

Aralyn looked to Priam more directly and glared at him. "Yes, now quiet pestering me with pointless questions."

Victor circled around and aimed for the dorm window again determinedly, falling towards it in a dive at a blistering pace.

Claire reached out with compassion, softly saying "I'm sorry."
Lucy would've screamed if she'd been able to. However, since she couldn't, she simply clung tighter to his thin neck as she anticipated the landing.

Atalanta was about to say for what? but caught herself before. Claire was sorry to hear about her parent's death, naturally. Who wouldn't be. But that was the thing; how many people actually meant the condolences they lavished on those truly suffering. She'd heard enough 'I'm sorry's to last a lifetime, and had long since learned to filter them unemotionally. So she murmured a quiet "thanks" then turned away, shifting her thoughts to a different subject completely.

Aralyn looked to Priam more directly and glared at him. "Yes, now quiet pestering me with pointless questions."
Priam scoffed, not bothering to hide it at all. "They only pester if you let them," he said reasonably, only staring harder at her, "and they weren't pointless."

Amaryllis looked up momentarily to have her gaze meet Vasper's. His expression was so solemn she became more concerned with hurting Vasper's feelings than she was upsetting Haley. "Than I am going to sit with Vasper, Haley. You have my word that we will talk and do nothing more." She informed her friend quietly, smiling at the fact that Haley was no longer mad with her.
When her eyes met his own, Vasper sighed softly with admiration. But as he noticed she was indeed coming over to sit with him, his heart soared without boundaries.
Amaryllis joined the two men, wearily taking a seat in the chair at Vasper's side. "Hey." She said quietly with a faint smile as she looked to Vasper.
"Hey. I'm glad you are sitting with me. You look pekid, did you not rest?" Vasper asked concerned for Amaryllis, as he reached to check her temperature for fever.
Haley bit her lip as she looked around the room. Since it was the prime dinner hour, nearly all the tables were taken. She spotted a table in the far corner, but it would surely be obvious if she went there, so she gave in and followed after Amaryllis. She still had her water glass, anyway.
Dyrus looked to Amaryllis as Vasper spoke to her. Even though he was keenly aware that Haley had followed her over, however the reluctance upon her face spoke volumes as it was obvious she didn't want to be near them. He debated get up and leaving to simply things.

Haley set Amaryllis' water glass in front of her then slid into the seat across from Dyrus. She set her own glass and plate down, taking her time as she unrolled the napkin with silverware, before she finally acknowledged him. "Good evening," she said softly.

"Yes it is." Dyrus replied simply as he took a sip of lemonade. He looked over the rim of the glass at her all the while. When he set the glass back down, he said, " I hope you're feeling better. "

Donella blinked and looked around then huffed softly. The change in Andorra's heartrate when she had woken confused had woken her. She stretched a little then moved away enough to sit and shift to her human form, though she had no idea what to say or do.
Andorra unusually quiet was fuming still on behalf of her friend. She was still livid at that pompous owl boy and Zaine had a bruising coming, he just didn't know it yet. She shifted to her human form and smiled gently at Donella as they sat together in silence.
