Alexis waited till the couple around the corner dispersed before crossing the hall and continuing. She stopped every few minutes to wait for people to leave an area before continuing on, not wanting to run in and talk to anyone right now. She could easily have shifted and saved herself that worry, but she wasn't and never had been fond of being in animal form. It revived too many unfortunate memories.
Alex stopped across from a door that was labeled Staff Only. Cocking her head, she listened for footsteps of anyone nearby, of which there were none. The temptation was strong to enter, merely out of curiosity, but she didn't particularly wish to get in trouble on her first day here.
