Dimitri raised an eyebrow in interest and smiled softly. He didn't catch the half joking and took her words at face value. "I was taken to the labs quite young. That's why I have no accent." He said solemnly. He paused for a moment then asked, "What do you call a spotted cat that cheats at a race?? A Cheetah! " He shot Alexis a broad grin. "You're going to think of that whenever you see your roommate. You're welcome in advance. " He replied with a chuckle as he pushed off the wall and started walking back the way they'd just walked.

"Hey now, that was only one," Alexis called out as she hurried to catch up with him. "And the other was a joke," she said, once she was beside him. "If you had the accent still, I'd let it pass. But ya don't, so pay up," she grinned.

Laurel only snickered at her joke, as if she truly cared. She waited anxiously until she left and sat down as soon as she did as she was still unsteady on her feet.
