Orthus decided to ignore her, as his drawing was much better and didn't want to seem like a bragger.

As she rose up, Razeth moved to get up.

Laurel saw in Razeth's eyes something that hadn't reflected in the eyes of her father. It helped her to trust him, despite what had been done to her by men. As Laurel sat up, wondering why Razeth was upset with her for trusting Ryker. After all, he had saved her.

Sophia nodded, and said sincerely "I was just a bit nervous after the whole thing that happened. And he reminded me of my father. That's all. But I know he is giving up a lot for us." She smiled at him tiredly.
