Zaine was a bit startled with her giddiness. Earlier she had been, well, a lot less giddy. He looked to Donella and smiled byway of acknowledgement since Andorra continued with her blubbering.
"Tigger," he said the word as if it was a bad taste in his mouth, "is not here. I haven't seen him since we were all in the library. I think he and the cat went exploring."

"Oh, well no matter. " Andorra said as she put her hands in her pocket. She then thought to add, "That's where I met Donella. In the library, that is."
She smiled pleasantly between them.

Ryker started walking and said, "It seems my son has had ulterior motives and secret ambitions. He'd orchestrated an elaborate escape and fled with two others in tow off the island. One whom is in critical health and is most likely suffering from heart failure. Now I just got back from collecting Anuerin. He separated from the other and has let my teams on a merry chase. However, the others are within my grasp. But I must go off island again to oversee their capture. So what I need is someone I can trust to ensure Anuerin stays put. He's very determined that I'm not require these individuals. As I'm sure you know, he's very intelligent and simply tying him up, then locking him in a cell, is not a viable option. And Ashton, who is currently watching him, lacks a certain restraint in her temperament, at least when it comes to dealing with Anuerin's unique disposition. What I'm asking of you Nova is will you watch my son for me? I need to know he's going to stay put and be safe while I'm away. Traitor that he is, I still seem to love him. If that's even possible for me."

"If all you wanted was Dimitri's whereabouts, then I'll let you get back to hunting him down," Zaine said to Andorra. She had mentioned 'playing' but he wasn't sure he wanted to partake in that.

I kept Amaryllis here with me far longer than I should have, because I was lonely; if I had sent her away sooner Ryker wouldn't have been able to hurt her. Now because of my actions, I have to accept that she will never escape my father's possession. I no longer care about myself, only for Amaryllis, and if it wasn't for her I would gladly except death over this miserable life. But it doesn't matter. Dispite how hard I fight my father will win." Anuerin cried passionately, voice lowered in anguish. "Amaryllis is all I have left in this world, and soon Ryker will snuff out that last light of hope, and death will eternaly sperate us."
