Zaine scooped out a portion of mac n cheese and a small scoop of the meat. "I never much cared for bread," he explained as his reason for excluding a bun.

Amaryllis remained quiet as she was taken into the alley, blue eyes wide with fear of Vasper . "Let me go!" She begged, tugging herself away from Vasper; falling on her butt when her arm was finally released. Unable to get up quickly enough, she began to crawl backwards, away from the man.
Donella smiled, pleased at the praise "Thank you" She said before getting a portion of the mac and cheese, though hers was a side not on the bun. She started eating hers happily, glad for the meal.

Donella blushed and smiled even as she ate her portion of the meal. She was glad they liked it, since it was one of the few skills she really had that she knew of. She didnt speak though, since her mouth was fullAndorra dived in with a big smile upon her face. At least until it met the bun, then she was all business. She made a soft mewling sound as she tasted the delicious flavors. Sooooo gooood! She thought as she chewed as politely as she could. Once she swallowed, she looked to Donella and said, "It tastes like home."

)(Yep!)
Haley watched the group from across the street, waiting for them to move from the staircase. If they didn't, she had found another staircase of a building that could work. She counted the men carefully but stopped short when a thought came to her. A very logical and likely thought, that the group had split like she and Amaryllis. If so, had Amaryllis been captured already? she thought worriedly.

Andorra continued on eating quietly now. The food was to good to stop to conversate.
Haley put her hand to her forehead as her thoughts raced. Amaryllis in a strange city by herself, and as weak as she was, wouldn't make it. Haley didn't think either of them would make it, but she now realized how stupid that idea had been. The scent of their pursuers had freaked her out then and she hadn't thought about the plan nearly as much as she should have. "What was I thinking," she murmured softly to herself as she paced the narrow alley. She turned to see where the men were and, locating them, headed towards where she had separated from her charge. With any luck, Amaryllis wouldn't be far from that, but the most likely case was that she had been found, Haley knew.Jarvis grunted to Lawrence to send him up on the roof as they continued onwards after Dyrus.
