"Brownie!" Lilith chose. She commented "I absolutely love brownies." She noted as their food arrived "We should probably start eating." She began doing that. eating her portion slowly until she was finished.

Maddox nodded to her and ate his food as he thought. He wondered if he could get some brownies for their next outing, date? he wasn't sure what to call them exactly as they were already together. He was going to try and see if he could either get the kitchen staff to make brownies or try making them himself, although he had never cooked before. It would be a fun challenge he thought.

Lilith finished her food and took the food to dispose of the rest and give the plate and utensils back to the kitchen staff. She returned back to Maddox and sat beside him, resisting the urge to hug him. But there couldn't be rumors for Ryker to take advantage of.

Layla beat herself into the ground, first with exercise then the punching bag. She hit it hard enough and long enough until her hands were bruised and she could hit it no more. Then she collapsed on the mats and for the first time in a long time she cried. How hade she become like this? Was this truly what she had wanted, to be like this? To be so cold, mean and nasty? Then through the tears she remembered how she had been before, weak, useless and a victim. No this was better she thought, but regardless of that she couldn't make the tears stop. So she sat crumpled on the floor of the mats and just cried, no one was there to see her, it was ok to be weak this once.

Maddox finished his meal and smiled at Lilith as she came to sit next to him. Then he had a thought. "I've heard there is a decent beach spot here on the island, maybe we could go there after this? I could finally go to a beach, it could be fun." He asked as he got up to remove his plate while she thought about his idea.

Lilith whispered "I would love that. Can we pleeasssse go?" She smiled at her childish way of asking for it, but she did truly want to go. It would be nice to be outside for some more time, and the beach of all things...it would be wonderful. After all, they were on a remote tropical island, and the beach would be isolated, so no one would worry about their wings.
