Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Ryker finished drying Anuerin's hair with a towel and there it in the hamper. He'd dressed him in some of his spare clothing he kept in the lab for all nighters. He then crossed his arms and looked to his son, planning to get to the bottom of this situation. " Mind telling me what that was about son? Am I going to have to keep you under guard constantly or in a straight jacket 24/7?" He asked sternly.

" Its either Haley or Aneurin. Or both, I don't know. Something happened between the two. More then he's saying. Not that he ever shares in the first place. He's a closed book with a lock and nobody has the key." Vasper stated honesty.
Anuerin, still feeling very poorly, made his discomfort more obvious to his father, hoping that he would drop the subject. When that didn't work, he decided to avoid answering the question directly, not yet ready to share intimate emotions with his father. "I've been here most of my life, Ryker, you've watched me grow up. There were so many times I wanted to talk to my father. I never did though, you were always too busy with more important work, and you never cared. And, when I try to kill myself, suddenly you care. Why?" Anuerin admitted painfully. It was one of his many secrets that weren't ever meant to be known; he even surprised himself by speaking them aloud. His eyes became dark as he fought back tears. So many emotions had been locked away for far too long, it hurt to hold them back with more time that went by. He held Ryker's gaze: he needed to know the truth.

"I understand what that feels like." Amaryllis stated honestly. "Anuerin is the same way; there's so much he hides from me and there's nothing I can do to ease his pain." Amaryllis looked to the floor, on the verge of tears.

Nova frowned then shook her head. "It was." She pulled away a little and rubbed her arms, bringing her wings around as well.
"No, Nova, it's not. You were young and had limitations. It could not be helped and it was not your fault." Gideon paused as tears came to his eyes. "When I was born, mere minutes after, in fact. I was wrapped in a trash bag and thrown away in a dumster, like common garbage. I can forgive my mother for such treatment, do you know why?" Gideon asked quietly.

Elliot replied "Please don't call me that." with a smile on his face. He would've preferred to be allied something around the lines of what would go well with a predator, but he left it up to her. He looked down at her in his arms once again, finally getting it. He had been deprived of love his whole life. And now that he had found someone the same in a way, they used each other to receive it. He looked down at her with a soft and kind expression, adoring her.

Claire shook her head, not believing the two fools had just started kissing after just meeting. She started to walk away when she stepped on a twig. She froze, hoping they hadn't heard. Of course had to have purplish hair, that was really easy to miss.
"I don't like that much, I will have to think of something better." Zoe said then sat up and looked to the sound of a twig snapping. Who was that and why were they here? She saw the purple haired girl and frowned "Who are you?"

Allen shrugged. "Well as you just pointed out, my logic's a bit circular right now. So we're both being effected by lack of sleep."

Haley pressed her palm to her forehead, as if that would somehow relieve the increasing headache. She was terribly confused about the turn the morning had taken. Anuerin hadn't mentioned anything that even suggested suicidal thoughts when they walked earlier, so something must've come up when he confronted Vasper. With her other hand behind her back, she dug into the center of her hand with her nail for a few brief moments as she considered things. The past few days seemed to be a heap of disastrous choices, made by her and only her, and she didn't wish to add to the stack. After a last longing glance down the hall, she continued towards her room.
"Then should we call it a day?" Ashton asked quietly.

"As you said, I was busy. My work was in its infancy and required a lot of my time and dedication. I've never been one to declare my emotions openly or even show them. I must admit that it wasn't until I thought I'd lost you, that I realized how important you are to me and just how much I'd lied to myself." Ryker answered Anuerin honestly while holding his gaze.

Vasper frowned slightly at Amaryllis emotional words. "We all have secrets, but the secret to the secrets, is to not let them own you." He replied matter-of-factly.

"Then should we call it a day?" Ashton asked quietly.

"Sounds fine by me," Allen said, yawning as if on cue.

Once she arrived at her room, Haley changed clothes in case she had managed to pick up any glass or venom from Anuerin's room. It was hardly noon, but she curled up on her bed and was soon asleep.

"I don't like that much, I will have to think of something better." Zoe said then sat up and looked to the sound of a twig snapping. Who was that and why were they here? She saw the purple haired girl and frowned "Who are you?"
Claire was passive by nature, and ran off as fast as she could.

Elliot quickly stood up, still holding Zoe in her hands. He whispered to her "What if she tells Ryker? Should we go talk to her? Should we get her?" He looked at her, concern for her in his face.

Lilith blushed at his comment, looking down at the water, before Maddox took her chin and made her look at him with her blush, causing her to blush even more. She squealed as he pulled her to him, and sighed as they fell backwards, knowing they would stay afloat. She rested her head on his chest, looking at him occasionally as they floated. She whispered "I love you Maddox." as she reached up to put a hand on his cheek.

"I love you too Lilith, and I probably always will." Maddox said truthfully. He held her while they floated in this tranquil place, it was hard to believe Ryker's mansion was not more then a short flight from here. He sighed knowing that they would eventually have to go back there. So instead he tried to think of what he could do next for Lilith, where he could take her.
