Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Ava nodded and smiled "I suppose it is, but if you don't get along with your roommate it could be very bad." She commented and moved to add bark to a tree, making it look like an ash tree with peeling bark then a buck at the base, rubbing it's antlers on the tree.
"Tell me about it," Zaine muttered under his breath. Leaning forward in his seat, he fiddled with his straw, bending the top part back and forth as he thought. "Are you enjoying the class so far?" He asked after a stretch of silence.

"Hm?" Ava blinked and looked up at him again then shrugged "I don't care about the class one way or the other. They won't let us be free any more than Ryker would, so why bother?"

Zaine was of a similar opinion, and since she seemed okay enough talking about it, he decided to continue on the topic. "It does strike me as odd that we're put here, expected to simply continue school where we left off however many years ago," he said, somewhat bitterly.

Ava shrugged again "It's about like foster care, they expect you to just follow the rules and go to school, even if it's a totally different level than you know from your last school." She informed "It's busywork until we do something to rebel."

"Why should we rebel?" Zaine asked, looking at her curiously. "Ioan has done—is doing—so much for us, that seems like the last thing we ought to do."

Amara went ahead of him into the cafeteria excited for the prospect of food. She saw all the people in there and paused. She rubbed her scar nervously and looked to Dimitri panic clear in her eyes. "Uh maybe I should just take some food and find my room or something? I mean it looks real crowded in there.." Amara trailed off looking behind Dimitri for an escape route.

"No, I insist," Alexis said cheerfully, looping her arm through Amara's. "Let's get our food, then we can all sit together."

Amara panicked a little as Alexis looped her arm through her own and led her back into the room. But after a moment she calmed herself down and took a few deep breathes and whispered a quiet thanks to Alexis.
Dimitri was glad when Alexis defused Amara's panic bomb. He'd been holding back to not seem a threat that would kick off her fight or flight response. He let out his breath slowly as he followed after the ladies. He noticed Donella and Andorra headed to get in line. He jumped as he felt a pinch on his backside. He turned confused to see a female smiling widely at him as she walked by. (Willow)

Anuerin smiled a little at the soft words. He had been fighting to hold the tears back, and now in this moment he was told that it was alright to let it all go. His father accepted him; he didn't disprove of his emotions as weakness like he had feared.

Amaryllis lip quivered with emotion, but she nodded her head as she tried to put faith in Vasper's word.
After a time, Ryker pulled back and whipped his tears away on his sleeve. "I love you Anuerin, never doubt that. That's a certain as the sun rises and sets." He said with conviction.

"Now stop that. No sense getting all worked up without definitive proof. I'm hardly ever wrong. Trus....let's just go see if he's down there. Alright?" Vasper suggested helpfully.

"See, this isn't so bad," Alexis said gently as she lead Amara towards the end of the line. "Hey Tiger, mind if we join Andorra and Miss Kodkod?" She called over her shoulder to Dimitri.

Amara heard Dimitri let out a breath behind her and Alexis and wondered what it was about. Was it about her and her panic attack? She felt bad, making them lead her around like this but without them she feared she would be outta there in a hot minute. Alexis reassured her as she lead her to the line for food. She did her best to smile at the comment so Alexis knew how grateful she was for the save. Alexis asked Dimitri if we could join two others, she didn't know who they were by their names. She blanched a little at the thought of meeting even more people. She swallowed the lump in her throat and asked Alexis who Andorra and the other person were.
