Dyrus finished up putting his room back in order. He'd gone so long without eating, he was almost as weak as a kitten. So he headed to Vasper's room to see if he could get him to go eat with him. He needed his friend and he hadn't been very nice to him this morning. He knocked softly before he opened Vasper's door upon not getting a response. He tipped his head as he saw Vasper curled up in a comforter. That was when he caught Amaryllis's scent. He stepped inside the room and closed the door behind him before he walked over to the bed. He hesitated a moment, before he did something he'd never done, he crawled up in bed next to Vasper. He looked so peaceful and serene, he hated to wake him. So he sprawled out to watch his friend sleep. Just the fact that Vasper didn't stir at the disturbance of the bed moving, was a testament to how deeply he must be sleeping. He frowned as he leaned in and smelled Amaryllis unique scent upon the comforter Vasper was cleaving to "Oh Vasp, what have you done." He whispered worriedly, as realization sank in, "Oh no, what had I done? I sent her right to you. An innocent lamb for the slaughter. Except it'll be Ryker slaughtering both of us, when he finds out."
Vasper had registered Dyrus's rich scent the moment he'd come in his room. He needn't worry about being harmed by him, for he trusted him completely. But upon hearing his friend's worried statement, Vasper growled low in a groggy voice, "You talk too much and smell of alcohol mixed with frustration. But you can rest assured, I didn't touch Amaryllis. She merely slept here, wrapped in this comforter. That is all that happened. Until Haley came and shamed her for it."
"Ah, so technically, you did sleep.....together. " Dyrus teased him as he stared up at the ceiling from the flat of his back. This mattress was quite comfortable and it made Dyrus realize how very tired he was.
Vasper sighed softly and rolled up onto his side to face his friend. As he propped his head upon his hand, he blinked the sleep from his eyes. He then looked long and hard at Dyrus, noticing his sleepy almost unguarded expression. He took a mental picture, savoring this moment before he smirked secretly. "You're still slightly drunk, Dyrus. That explains your lack of inhibitions." Vasper leaned in closer to him to sample his scent more fully. "And you smell of Haley. It would seem our catches caught each of us." He replied with ironic humor.
At the mention of Haley's name, Dyrus almost winced noticeably. "I was going to get something to eat, are you coming with me?" He asked to change the subject. Becoming keenly aware of Vespers close scrutiny and proximity. "What? Why are you looking at me like that? Is something wrong?" He asked quietly.
"No, I'm sorry. I'm just being sentimental, I guess I'll come with you. You know, in case Madison tries anything with you. You're in no state to fend her off. I cannot have my alpha being turned into a bata. " Vasper stated simply as he fell backwards and stretched out his muscles before getting up.
"You're always saying that to me. But don't you realize you're stronger then I'll ever be. If anyone is alpha here, it's you, Vasper." Dyrus murmured softly as he fought off the sleep to sit up slowly.
Vasper hurried over to offer his assistance. "Dyrus, I've never seen you like this." He replied almost worried now.
"I'll be alright, I just need some food and sleep. Then I'll be back to my old self. I promise, no more benders with gentleman Jack. It turns out, he's not so gentlemanly after all." Dyrus said jokingly as they made it to the door.
Vasper laughed despite his concern. "Good, I'll hold you to it." He replied with conviction.
