Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Haley let the door fall closed behind them as she lead the way. "Smells good!" She said excitedly as she approached the buffet. Taking up two plates, she handed one to Amaryllis then considered her options.

Amaryllis trailed behind Haley, eagerly taking the offered plate. She wandered around the buffet momentarily before taking a humble serving of Ceasar salad. As she waited for Haley she turned to look across the room for a place to eat when she noticed Vasper and Dyrus seated at a central table. She immediately lowered her head, shyly glancing towards Haley and wondered if she would be allowed to interact with Vasper.
Vasper paused in his teasing of Dyrus as he caught Amaryllis's sweet scent. His eyes scanned the crowd and settled upon her immediately. But he didn't move. He wasn't sure how she'd recieve him after Haley filled her head with lectures on him. So he caressed her with is eyes instead.

Haley finished filling her plate, then grabbed a glass and filled it with water. "What do you want to drink?" She asked, taking an empty glass and looking to Amaryllis. She'd spotted Dyrus as soon as they had arrived, but kept quiet about it and purposely kept her gaze directly on her friend and the food.
Dyrus noticed Vasper's sudden silence and followed his gaze to its source. That's when he saw Haley and Amaryllis across the room. He observed Haley's determined behavior at not looking their way and it stung him slightly. He decided to make it easier for her to carry on her charade and not acknowledge her presence. He growled under his breath as he started hurrying in his consumption of his food.
"Water, please." Amaryllis answered quietly without looking up.
Vasper sighed as he saw how timidly Amaryllis was acting. "What did Haley say to you, sweet Amaryllis? Are you now ashamed of me and our time together? Its for the best, I knew it was too good to be true and you were too pure of heart for the likes of me. " He whispered softly to himself.

Dyrus glanced to Vasper at his quiet words and frowned sternly, before he returned his gaze to the pair across the room. He wondered if Haley had done such a thing and if so, why?

Areum nodded, still a bit shy, and followed after him with her snack and drink in hand. She didn't understand why she was shy, she just wasn't that outgoing person she saw around her often.
Rowan smiled and when they to the door, opening it to let her out first then going to take a seat.

Haley filled the cup then carefully balanced the dishes as she grabbed a few napkins. "I'm not holding you back," she said gently to her friend, having noticed the girl's glances. And she wasn't. Amaryllis' choices were her own, as would be whatever consequences came of them.

Amaryllis looked up momentarily to have her gaze meet Vasper's. His expression was so solemn she became more concerned with hurting Vasper's feelings than she was upsetting Haley. "Than I am going to sit with Vasper, Haley. You have my word that we will talk and do nothing more." She informed her friend quietly, smiling at the fact that Haley was no longer mad with her.

Haley bit her lip as she looked around the room. Since it was the prime dinner hour, nearly all the tables were taken. She spotted a table in the far corner, but it would surely be obvious if she went there, so she gave in and followed after Amaryllis. She still had her water glass, anyway.

Amaryllis joined the two men, wearily taking seat in the chair at Vasper's side. "Hey." She said quietly with a faint smile as she looked to Vasper.
