Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Casey frowned as he watched her sit again. He didn't know why she had got upset, but he didn't like that she was. He took off the wig, setting it down then reaching over to touch her hand "I can go with you too, if you want?"

Amara looked up at Casey when he spoke as he gently touched her hand. "I would like that thank you." She replied with a small smile. She realized now that he was worried at her being upset. But she didn't want to tell him why given how silly it was.

Alastor glanced over to Eliana from his work. He was waiting for the tranquilizer took wear off. He'd taken the liberty of drawing her blood while she was out, it was easier that way. He dressed Eric's wounds on his shoulder as well. He got up to check the restraints one more time, part to ensure they were put on her properly and to check her wakefulness.

"These cliffs are pretty high. But on theach south side of the island, there are some that as more manageable. That sounds like fun, you'll have to show me how to dive properly. " Leverett said as he added some bottled waters and napkins. "Anything else we're missing for our picnic?" He asked curiously.

Willow felt his sadness as well as smelled it. "Hey? What's the matter Adrian? Was it something I said?" She asked gently.

Eliana gave a quite groan as she moved her head to one side. She felt like she was sitting in syrup, everything seemed slower and took forever. As she came back to wakefulness she remembered being tranquilized and she tensed. She attempted to move her arms as she slowly opened her eyes. When she met with resistance she gave a frustrated growl and tanked hard at the restraints with a yell.

"Well I am not an authority on cliff diving or anything but I could teach you what I know I suppose." Layla looked into the basket one last time and then nodded. "I think that looks good for our picnic. Lead the way since you know where we are going." She said with a smile as she gestured towards the doorway to leave.

Adrian gave her a sad smile and shook his head, the last thing he wanted was her to think she had done something wrong. "No its nothing you said or did, its just me." He said as he patted her arm a bit. "I just miss my family, we were all very close before all this happened. I was just thinking that they have no idea that I am even alive, they probably just assume I am dead. And as sad as that makes me maybe its for the best, I don't know if I could handle how they may react when they find out what I am now." He explained to her, he wasn't sure if she would fully understand given she wasn't close to her family but it helped for him to say it aloud regardless.

Casey smiled again, responding to her smile. "Good, I better get back to my room then, so we can get some rest. I can go to the room with you in the morning before classes."

Arayln gently waded her body into the pool, immediately feeling refreshed by the water. She cautiously shifted to her mermaid form, careful that her stitches weren't pulled apart.

Priam watched the transformation with interest. He'd heard about the previous group of Ryker's, the ones who shifted completely into their animal, but he'd never witnessed an actual shift until now. Closing his book, he set it down on the table next to him and shoved his hands into his pockets as he stood. He remained silent as he watched her, eager to see what she was going to do.

"Enjoying the view?" Arayln casually requestioned. Ryker had trained her too well for her to need to turn around to know that she was being watched, her senses were far too keen.

Priam reddened at her comment, embarrassed by her wording and the accusation it implied. "I'm simply observing," he said honestly. He stepped forward towards the edge of the pool, keeping his gaze on her. "I've never seen a shifter in action, so to speak, so I was keen to see what you were going to do."

"That's new, usually people tell me that they've never seen a mermaid before." Aralyn commented as she swam to the opposite side of the pool so that she could rest her back against the wall while she watched Priam.

"I've seen plenty of things beyond reason, so what creature you turn to is of little surprise," Priam explained, "nor was the fact that you could shift a surprise. I was simply taken by the transformation. I didn't realize there were any of you left." He raised his eyebrows inquiringly at her, curious about her story.

"Second generation," Aralyn explained with hardly any patience, "Ryker gave me the ability to shift so that I could walk."
